MotusDAO is at the forefront of revolutionizing mental health access and community empowerment within the Web3 ecosystem. Our vision is to create a decentralized, autonomous, and distributed platform that bridges the gap between technology and mental health services through education, gamification, and community-driven governance.
MotusDAO aims to provide an accessible mental health network that empowers users to connect with professionals, share knowledge, and benefit from tokenized incentives within a secure and streamlined user experience. We are building the foundation for a decentralized system that mirrors a future alternative to centralized health organizations, but with autonomy, community governance, and an inclusive approach.
Our Minimum Viable Product (MVP) stems from over three years of theoretical development, research, and community-building in Latin America, with plans to expand globally. The MVP is centered on three main components:
1) Connecting Users with Mental Health Professionals (PSMs)
MotusDAO’s smart linking system facilitates connections between users (patients) and mental health professionals through a step-by-step onboarding process:
Registration: Users and professionals register via Google Forms (digital wallet required for all participants).
Introduction to MotusDAO: Participants receive training and an overview through webinars.
Profile Review (Know Your User/Professional - KYU/P): Profiles are reviewed for suitability and qualifications.
Community Welcome and Group Inclusion: New members are welcomed into the community through WhatsApp, with professionals joining dedicated groups for ongoing communication and collaboration.
Training and AI Matching: Training videos are provided, and professionals are assigned to users based on needs, laying the groundwork for a decentralized AI recommendation system to further enhance matchmaking precision.
Current Setup: MotusDAO currently operates through two WhatsApp groups—one for general community engagement and another for active professionals who have met selection criteria (KYP). Users and professionals register through Google Forms, with plans for further digital integration.
2) Funding Mental Health Services
MotusDAO’s MVP introduces innovative funding mechanisms to democratize access to mental health services:
Flexible Payment Models: Professionals are required to adapt their service fees based on users’ payment capabilities. While they retain the freedom to charge standard fees, alternative arrangements such as symbolic payments are encouraged for those who cannot afford full prices. To ensure sustainability, additional funding mechanisms are introduced.
Decentralized Mental Health Insurance: MotusDAO captures Quadratic and Retroactive Funding to subsidize therapy costs not fully covered by users, creating a safety net that keeps services accessible.
Incentives for Professionals: A portion of funds raised through decentralized insurance mechanisms is distributed to professionals via airdrops, rewarding them for their dedication and participation. Professionals must register with a wallet to benefit from this incentive structure.
By integrating these programs, MotusDAO offers comprehensive mental health support at potentially low or no cost to users, while ensuring professionals are compensated fairly, redefining how therapy is funded and accessed.
3) Psychologists’ Academy
The MotusDAO Academy provides a comprehensive online study center for mental health professionals, focusing on the development of next-generation skills and integrating Web 3.0 technologies:
Co-Creation of Knowledge: An academic forum allows for collaborative learning and the sharing of cutting-edge content. Training is divided into three core pillars: theoretical, practical, and technological.
Applied Analysis Training: Study groups, research initiatives, and case supervision sessions offer hands-on learning opportunities.
Web 3.0 and Financial Tools: The Academy includes training on decentralized technologies, such as governance forums, decentralized payments, decentralized identities, and AI tools, as well as decentralized financial strategies like savings, lending, and staking.
Current Setup: The forum is hosted on a Discord server, fostering community engagement and continuous learning.
MotusDAO’s core engagement framework is built around gamification to promote active community participation:
Curation and Contribution: Members share and curate knowledge, providing valuable insights to the community.
Governance and Voting: A community-led voting mechanism allows members to influence service offerings and governance decisions.
Missions and Rewards: Members can earn rewards by completing missions, ranging from wellness check-ins to educational contributions.

Content Assessment: MotusDAO’s advanced AI evaluates content submitted by professionals and users, analyzing factors such as accuracy, relevance, timeliness, and transparency. The AI system helps identify and mitigate issues such as misinformation, redundancy, or irrelevant content, ensuring that only verified, high-quality information circulates within the platform.
Continuous Learning: Our AI system continuously adapts based on community needs and emerging trends, maintaining a dynamic, responsive approach to content evaluation.
Community Involvement
